The Economic Charter of Enchantra

Preamble

In order to ensure fairness, stability, and prosperity among all citizens of Enchantra, this charter establishes the official economic system of the realm. It defines the creation, circulation, and regulation of currency, the responsibilities of economic roles, and the rights of all citizens to trade freely.

Official Currency

Diamonds are hereby recognized as the official currency of Enchantra. They represent standardized value and may be used for:

  • Trade and commerce
  • Wages and services
  • Fees and fines
  • Loans and repayments

Citizens retain the right to barter goods and services without the use of diamonds, provided all parties consent. All citizens have the right to mine for diamonds. Official miners receive one special favor from the Royals.

Creation of Currency

Diamonds may only enter the economy through legitimate mining in the Resource World.

Diamonds may not be:

  • Spawned via creative mode
  • Duplicated or exploited
  • Illegally transferred between worlds

Any diamonds created or obtained outside these rules are considered counterfeit and subject to confiscation.

Professions & Economic Roles
Section A: Miners
  • Authorized to extract diamonds from the Resource World.
  • Diamonds gathered must be deposited into the Bank of Enchantra.
  • Miners may receive wages, commissions, or privileges.
Section B: Bankers
  • Safekeeping of diamonds
  • Recordkeeping of deposits and loans
  • Issuing loans to citizens

Bankers must act impartially and may not alter loan terms without authorization. Abuse of banking power constitutes a severe economic crime.

The Bank of Enchantra

The Bank of Enchantra serves as the central financial institution of the realm. All stored diamonds are considered protected assets of the economy.

The bank may issue loans under the following conditions:

  • Loan ratio: 8 diamonds loaned : 1 diamond interest
  • Repayment deadline: 1 month from issuance

Interest collected may be used for public works, wages, and economic stabilization.

Loans & Debt
  • Any citizen may request a loan.
  • All terms must be clearly stated and recorded.
  • Borrowers must repay in full by the deadline.
  • Partial repayment does not halt interest unless agreed upon.
Trade & Commerce
  • Citizens may freely buy, sell, and trade goods and services.
  • Price fixing, monopolization, or forced trade is prohibited unless approved by the governing body.
  • Contracts—written or verbal—are binding in roleplay.
Fees

The governing body may levy fees for:

  • Land ownership — 5 Diamonds Monthly
  • Shop permits — 10 Diamonds Monthly
  • Public infrastructure

All fees must be announced and fairly enforced. Fee revenue goes to the Bank of Enchantra.

Crimes & Punishments

Economic crimes include:

  • Counterfeiting diamonds
  • Theft from the bank
  • Loan fraud or evasion
  • Abuse of economic roles

Punishments may include fines, seizure of assets, loss of profession, imprisonment, or torture.

Amendments

This charter may be amended by a ruling council, monarch, or popular vote. Amendments must be publicly announced before taking effect. No amendment may legalize diamond duplication or creative spawning.

Final Authority

The governing body of Enchantra reserves final authority in economic disputes. This charter applies equally to all citizens, regardless of rank or profession.
